I would sincerely like to say that I would very much like to be blogging more often than I have been. I have a few in the chamber, but time has eluded me. Apart from the travel over the past few weeks, we are operating with only one computer. One of us (and I'm not saying who) had a laptop stolen from a car which was broken into in broad daylight in SF the day before we left. That person may or may not be the same person who is monopolizing the computer which was not stolen from said car. There are 2 new Macbooks in Frankfurt waiting for us, and, shockingly, we are running into a bit of a snafu with customs and actually getting them to Berlin. Once that happens, there will be a flurry of posts with topics to include:
- Our trip to Poland for Euro 2012
- The Berlin Zoo
- The challenges of learning German with a newborn/infant/toddler/husband who is also learning German in an intensive language program at DLI and needs to get into a graduate level program at a university in Berlin in a country where intensive language classes of all levels are offered from 9-1 and there is a shortage of childcare workers.
- How Americans continue to make our life in Germany more difficult by their refusal to burn any calories on being helpful but zeal for burning calories on being a-holes.
- Potato-based food
Here's a picture of a goat from the petting zoo to whet your collective appetites for more scintillating content:
